Future Plans concerning the development
of teaching and research in the department are many. Chief among these are: restructuring
existing courses to establish a more meaningful relationship with operating programmes;
intensification of research activities in environmental biology, reproductive
biology, endocrinology, developmental biology, biological control of insect pests,
behavioural physiology, toxicology and comparative animal physiology.
