1. The Department has been running weekly
seminar at P. G. Level on political issues and problems. After a fruitful dialogue
on ‘How to curb terrorism in India’, the ongoing theme of Seminar in
the current session is “The challenges of Indian Democracy”. These have
helped generating a sense of responsibility among the students as citizen, to
understand such issues, and find their solutions as far as possible.

Eight students of Department have cleared the U.G.C. NET, 2003 and 32 students
have been awarded the Ph. D. Degree in Political Science.
3. The Department
has also organized the UGC Academic Staff College sponsored Refresher Course on
“Emerging Areas and Issues in Political Science” under the co-ordinatorship
of Prof. Indra Deo Mishra.
