Being aware of high standard education,
the members of the staff know their responsibilities that philosophy should be
made socially relevant and good and for its performance the department contacted
with U.G.C. New Delhi and in collaboration with the commission centre for Yoga
Studies and practice has been established in the department. Head of the philosophy
department is its Director. Beside yoga diploma education, classes for practice
for the general public of the city has also been arranged. Sri. Raj Shekhar and
Km. Sangeeta Sharma two Yoga Teachers are working at this centre. It is remarkable
that both the programmes are very popular among the students and the general people.
The members of the staff have actively and constructively been taking part in
conferences, seminars and symposium. The members of the staff have taken part
in National and International conferences and seminars.
In 1995 Dr. Madan
Mohan Trivedi, was nominated as head of the logic department of all India philosophical
board and has been selected the visiting associate of U.G.C.
Prof. Anjani
Kumar Singh The present head and Prof. Chandra Prakash Srivastava wrote two important
books on philosophy.
In collaboration with the academic staff college,
D.D.U. Gorakhpur University, a refresher course on moral science had been arranged
by the department on 10th November to 30th November 2003, Dr. Madan Mohan Trivedi
the head of the department was its director.
Two senior teachers of the
department Dr. Sushil Kumar Tiwari and Dr. Ram Priti Mishra took part in national
conference convened at New Delhi on 17th December 2003 to 19th December 2003 and
presented their research papers and consciousness.
