Discipline is a must
for the development of any institution. No example of continuous progress without
complete disciplinary spirit can ever be found anywhere. Educational institutions
are living institutions. Students coming out of them follow a norm of constructiveness
with the sacred Gangotri like stream of their knowledge. The development of any
progressing institutions is hurdled for want of disciplined work style. Keeping
this fact in view proctorial board has been setup to ascertain thorough tuitional
work. The elements acting against legal criterion, are controlled by reformatory
means and if necessary by legal procedure. So that this sacred shrine may accomplish
its duty of 'gyan yajna' without any hindrance.
The current strength of the University Proctorial board is
22 including the chief Proctor (Prof.
Rajendra Prasad. The dutiful members of the board
are always active to mould the huge group of students in disciplinary
culture. The huge group of students studying in the temple of
Goddess Saraswati and its research departments. The whole academic
campus has been divided into four zones to make the maintenance
of discipline easy and Proctorial team has been formed for each.
The proctorial board performs its duties with its collective
effort on the occasion of Annual Exams, competitive Exams.,
Games and Sports contests and Special Functions.
To maintain effectively the arrangements planned by the proctorial boards, some
security guards have also been appointed. At present there are 103 security guards
who with their supervisor and security officer sincerely perform their duties
under the Chief Proctor.
It is well known that the duty of the proctor
is spread over commerce and education faculty, various hostels, teacher's four
residential blocks, and other workers residential blocks far from the main campus
of the University. So from security point of view their guards ceaselessly keep
watch on many chief places as main gate, Administrative blocks, Ancient History
gate, Pedleyganj Gate, Women faculty, Arts faculty, Commerce faculty, Vice-Chancellor's
residence and teachers colonies. Written detail of everyday activities is presented
before the Chief Proctor.
The proctorial board is firmly determined to
ascertain maintenance of law and order in the University. But in the process of
maintaining discipline, special role is needed of those who have resolved to maintain
this sacred campus as a glorious temple of knowledge.
