Prof. A.K.Mittal, well known scholar
of modern Indian history, has written 12 books which are very popular among history
students. This year he has been called by U.G.C as an expert in the committee
for making all India model history course. Beside Adhyaya (Chapter writing) in
the book published by Bharatiya Itihas Anusandhan Parishad, he has worked as a
member of committees of Union Public Service Commission.

Srivastava the specialist of Mughal period chitrakala and the commonwealth
fellow has been selected on visiting fellow by Hingarian Science Academy this
year. In the series of 15th Century landlords and history of Nepal, Prof. S.N.R.
Rizvi's third book "landlords and Revenue farmers of Eastern U.P." is
published this year. This year in the proceedings of the Indian History Congress
Joint Research Paper of Prof. Rizvi and Dr. Smt. Poonam Pant, A court festival
of medieval India and Public and private politics. The royal ladies of Nepal were
published.
Besides there Prof. Rizvi presented his research paper
entitled 'Siajas & Sufis' Dalemix and Henlity formation at Bikaner workshop
organised by Conrod Adernure Foundation Germany, and in Rajasthan the research
paper "Siya Madarsas in Awadh".
In the 64th Indian History Congress
arranged at Mysore in December 2003, he was elected a member of the executive
committee. At present under his Editorship the U.P. Historical Review started
its republication.
"Role of Women in Medieval Indian Politics",
written by Dr. Poonam Pant (Reader) is published this year. Smt Pant presented
her research papers in the conference held at Allahabad, Bareilly, Varanasi, Meerut
and Mysore.
Senior lecturer Dr. Himanshu Chaturvedi's research paper
"Athnocentrism" Emergence and Social Action in Philosophy and Social
Action. In U.P. Itihas congress at Meerut, he presented the research paper entitled
"Raj" Nonlinguistic counter poises and Gandhi, in research journal "Rakchharth"
Afghanistan, Cultural swel new stage in all five research papers were published.
Dr. Smt. Nidhi Chaturvedi presented her research paper "Rural Society"
at Uttar Pradesh History Congress. Dr. Mukund Saran Tripathi Presented three research
papers in different seminars.

This year departmental seminar on "Non-Cooperation
Movement in the Context of the Wholenen of History" was held in which students
presented their research papers.
