In addition to the above
the department has been continuously receiving research grants from different
funding agencies such as :UGC, DST, DBT, CSIR, DAE, ICAR, ISRO, AICTE, and SCST.
Nearly Rs. 1.5 Crores have been received as research grant during the last
five years.
The UGC - DRS programme phase - III terminated on March 31, 2003.
Progress report for the same has already been presented before the expert committee
of UGC and it is hoped that the grant will be elevated to DSA level.
